I know I've seen higher speeds on the display than it shows on the log.
Looking forward to JulyPhilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07484327242022207943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7468046567217853186.post-21135811092723853772012-05-15T16:40:56.868+01:002012-05-15T16:40:56.868+01:00It's an interesting thought, Paul...

I'm not sure how often my GPS samples, but I think it's either 10 or 15 seconds (don't have the manual with me), so if I can't maintain that phenomenal burst of speed for that long - it just gets lost, as the sample before it and after it are more usual....Steve-the-Wargamerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07077311120172727690noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7468046567217853186.post-8774413983136301782012-05-15T15:59:01.488+01:002012-05-15T15:59:01.488+01:00Not sure about your thoughts on boat speed! Surely if the GPS says your max was 5.2 over the ground your visuals of 6 plus must be into it - i.e. a 1 knot plus tide?
Cheers
PaulPaul Mullingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05656301521677046663noreply@blogger.com
